About us
Caring for Guntur for over two decades
Our story
Where we began
After completing his DM in Nephrology at the Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGIMS) in Lucknow, Dr. Avula Srinivas looked for a place to settle and build his practice. He found it in Guntur, close to his hometown.
Around 2000, very few doctors in the region treated kidney disease. Patients from Odisha, Visakhapatnam, Ongole and many smaller towns had to travel all the way to Hyderabad for care. Dr. Srinivas decided to start his practice in Guntur so they could be treated closer to home, and in 2002 he drew up plans for a hospital.
Aswini Hospitals was inaugurated on 15 August 2003. A second building, Aswini Critical Care, opened later beside the original one as the hospital grew, with an intensive care unit and state-of-the-art operating theatres.

A message from our founder
We started Aswini Hospitals so that people in and around Guntur would not have to travel far for kidney care. Over two decades later, we care for patients across many specialties, but our promise is the same: to treat every patient the way we would want our own family to be treated.
Our mission
To provide accessible, ethical, and compassionate healthcare while continually striving to maintain high standards of patient care and medical excellence.
